The Dead Sea Salt and Dead Sea Mud both have many health benefits. There are a lot of tourists, mainly people who suffer from skin conditions, who visit this amazing lake to get well or feel better physically.

I actually heard that the health insurance in certain European countries covers the cost of the trip to the Dead Sea for people with certain skin conditions.

However, you don't need to have a skin condition to benefit from the salt and mud. If you just want to pamper yourself and get healthy young looking skin then try it - I guarantee you will be amazed at the results.

What if I can’t visit the Dead Sea any time soon?

Good question. There are actually many Dead Sea products in the market that use minerals derived from the lake. You may have seen them in the malls: various creams, scrubs, nail polish, masks and most importantly the salts and the mud. Years ago I actually used to sell some of those products.

Many web sites and some companies on E-bay sell Dead Sea salt that actually never came from Israel – but was derived from the ocean.

The Dead Sea salt and mud are very unique. The salt is extremely bitter – nothing like your table salt.

Anyways, before you buy make sure the product is authentic. you can try my recommended vendor, and know for sure you are buying the real thing. Obviously, if you purchase products at the Dead Sea itself or most anywhere in Israel - you can also be sure you are getting the real thing.

If the price is too cheap, or you do not see immediate change in your skin condition – you probably have a fake product.
