The Scots Hotel is located on the shores of the lake – the Sea of Galilee. It has a somewhat aloof feel to it but it is very unique. The hotel resides in a 19th century beautiful stone building that used to be the first hospital in Tiberias and was established by a Scottish doctor. The grounds are well kept and include stone terraces, a garden and a pool with great views of the lake. Breakfast buffet is included and is very tasty – composed of locally sourced ingredients - fresh and delicious.
The rooms have an antique feel created by the stone walls – this atmosphere is mixed with newer technology such as the flat screen TVs in the rooms. 
The Scots is definitely charming but if you choose to go there be prepared to open the wallet as it is pricey. Kibbutz Ginosar is located on the western shores of the Sea of Galilee. The location is perfect for all the Galilee attractions and the kibbutz is very well maintained and extra clean.
