How Much Fun & Cost of a Trip

Q: How much fun is it and how much does it cost to go there?

A:
Israel is a lot of fun. As you can see on this website, there is so much to see in the country. In fact, people often complain about not having enough time to see everything they wanted! The unique thing about Israel is that it has so much religious significance and history, while at the same time having a lot of beautiful nature plus all the amenities of a modern country like the US.

The costs for a trip to Israel depend on how much you want to do, where you want to stay, whether you use a private tour guide, etc. However, here are some basic examples of costs (approximate costs for one person):

Economy plane ticket US --> Israel: $1,000-$1,500
Accommodation 3 weeks: $1,500-$3,000
Food 3 weeks: $1,000

So per person for a 3-week trip to the Holy Land you would be looking at around $4,000-$5,000.

You may be able to find discounted, cheaper flights - depending on the time of the year. Also you may be able to find cheaper accommodation in the country.

A private tour guide can be anything from $500 per day. Group tours can of course be much less.

Hope that info helps!

Best,
Michael Celender
