What does the subject of Israeli models and actresses have to do with my travel guide?!
Good question. Frankly, I wrote a lot about historic and religious sites already and I wanted to spice it up a little. Besides, look how beautiful these Israeli women are!
As the star of DC Universe's Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot has become a global superstar. She is Israel's most famous actress and model and a rolemodel for women and young girls around the world.
But Gal Gadot has been known to Israeli audiences for far longer. It all started in 2004, when, at age 18, she won the crown of Miss Israel. Since then she has become one of the country's top models.
She has transformed her successful modelling career into an even more successful acting career.
Her first major Hollywood role was for the character of Gisele in the blockbuster series The Fast and the Furious - alongside actors Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
2016 saw her in a cameo role as Wonder Woman opposite Ben Affleck (Batman), Henry Cavill (Superman) and Amy Adams (Lois Lane) in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
But 2017 has undoubtedly been her biggest year to date. Her starring role in Wonder Woman received rave reviews.
She is slated for further appearances as this Amazonian goddess in future DC Universe movies including Justice League movies (slated for 2017 and 2019).
Not bad, eh?
By the way, did you know that she was five months' pregnant while filming extra scenes for Wonder Woman? Perhaps now we know why she got the role. A truly strong woman and great rolemodel!
Bar Refaeli is a supermodel.
This Israeli beauty is well known in the fashion world and has appeared on the cover of numerous magazines all over the world - from Elle to Maxim, GQ and Marie Claire. She was also the covergirl for the 2009 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.
Bar Refaeli is also known for her relationship with the
mega movie star Leonardo DiCaprio. They both visited Israel together in 2007 and
even got to meet the president – Shimon Peres. Alas, the relationship was not to be and they broke up in 2009.
In 2012 she was voted #1 on Maxim's Hot 100 List, and since 2013 she has been hosting Israel's version of The X-Factor.
For a number of years Ayelet Zurer was probably the most successful and well known Israeli actress. That was, before Gal Gadot became Wonder Woman. However, miss Zurer is very successful in her own right.
playing in many Israeli films and TV dramas, she has relocated to the
U.S and is busy working on major Hollywood productions. You may
recognize her from the movie Munich (2005) directed by Steven Spielberg. Most
recently she starred alongside Tom Hanks in Angels and Demons (2009), based on the book by Dan Brown.
In the picture alongside you can see Ayelet on the set next to director Ron Howard and Tom Hanks.
More recently you may have seen Ayelet Zurer as Superman's biological Kryptonian mother in Man of Steel (2013) or in Netflix's Daredevil series playing Vanessa Marianna.
She also appeared in the 2016 remake of Ben-Hur , playing the role of Naomi, the mother of the Jewish prince who is betrayed into slavery and fights his way to freedom.
This beautiful Israeli is not only gorgeous but also a very talented and intelligent person.
