Israeli Models & Actresses

What does the subject of Israeli models and actresses have to do with my travel guide?!

Good question. Frankly, I wrote a lot about historic and religious sites already and I wanted to spice it up a little. Besides, look how beautiful these  Israeli women are!

Bar Rafaeli

This Israeli beauty is actually a supermodel!

Bar is well known in the fashion world and has appeared on the cover of numerous magazines - from Elle to Maxim, GQ and Marie Claire. As you can see below, she was also the covergirl for the 2009 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

Bar Refaeli is also known for her relationship with the mega movie star Leonardo DiCaprio. They both visited Israel together in 2007 and even got to meet the president – Shimon Peres. Alas, the relationship was not to be and they broke up in 2009.

In 2012 she was voted #1 on Maxim's hot 100 list, and since 2013 she has been hosting Israel's version of The X-Factor.

Moran Atias

This beautiful Israeli is not only gorgeous but also a very talented and intelligent person.

Moran is a model, TV personality and an actress. She has worked in Milan (Italy’s fashion capital) for such names as Roberto Cavalli and D&G, and became a popular TV host both in Israel and in Italy. Moran has been in films in Hebrew, English, Italian and Spanish. Oh, and she also writes for a couple of magazines and hosted a radio show! Wow!!!

Moran Atias has also made her mark in Hollywood with starring roles in the acclaimed film The Next Three Days (2010) opposite Russell Crowe, as well as in Third Person (2013), which featured Liam Neeson, Mila Kunis, Adrien Brody, Olivia Wilde and James Franco (amongst others).

Ayelet Zurer

Ayelet is currently the most successful and well known Israeli actress. But may soon be surpassed by Gal Gadot (see further below).

After playing in many Israeli films and TV dramas, she has relocated to the U.S and is busy working on major Hollywood productions. You may recognize her from the movie Munich (2005) directed by Steven Spielberg. Most recently she starred alongside Tom Hanks in the Angels and Demons movie (2009), based on the amazing book by Dan Brown.

In the above picture you can see Ayelet on the set next to director Ron Howard and Tom Hanks.

More recently you may have seen Ayelet Zurer as Superman's biological Kryptonian mother in Man of Steel (2013). She is also slated to be in the upcoming remake of Ben Hur (2016).

The "Wonderful" Gal Gadot

Gal Gadot won the crown of Miss Israel 2004 (at age 18) and is one of Israel’s top models. She has transfored her successful modelling career into an even more successful acting career.

Gal Gadot has become well-known for the character of Gisele in the blockbuster Fast and Furious series alongside actors Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

Gal is slated for greater stardom in 2016 and beyond with her coming role as Wonder Woman opposite Ben Affleck (Batman), Henry Cavill (Superman) and Amy Adams (Lois Lane) in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Gal will continue this role with her own Wonder Woman movie (slated for 2017) as well as appearances in future Justice League movies (slated for 2017 and 2019).

Not bad, eh?
