Jerusalem Museums

While there are plenty of museums in Jerusalem most visitors to the city have time limitations. Having said that, I really think you should visit those few museums while you are in Jerusalem:

The Israel Museum, Jerusalem

This museum is a must. It hosts the world famous Dead-Sea Scrolls which are the oldest biblical manuscripts in the world. In addition you can find a model of Jerusalem as it was in the period of the second temple (before 66 CE).

My dad took this picture
of the 1:50 model I mentioned above.

Elsewhere in the 20 acre campus, you can enjoy one of the best sculptures garden in the world, with famous names like Pablo Picasso, Auguste Rodin, James Turrell and many others. If that’s not enough there are at least ten other exhibits at any given time. Enjoy.
The Museum is located in Jerusalem on Ruppin Boulevard, near the Knesset (Israeli Parliament).

Here you could find the famous Dead Sea Scrolls.

Yad Vashem - The Holocaust Museum

I will tell you up front that visiting this museum is not an easy experience at all. Yad Vashem - Hebrew for memorial and a name - was built in order to document the history of the Jewish people during the Holocaust period.

In the exhibits you can learn all about the crimes of Nazi Germany during World War II against the Jewish people.
The museum documents each and every of the 6 million Jewish victims of the Holocaust.

I'm sure that visiting this museum will leave quite an impression on you as a human being. so please take the time and visit there.
