How to make the pita bread:
- Mix together the flour, yeast and salt.
- Slowly (but surely) add the water little by little and form into a dough.
- Let the dough sit for about 45 minutes, covered in a piece of fabric or a pot’s cover. Leave in a warm place until the dough swells up.
- Divide the dough into 10 pieces and form a ball from each one.
- Dip each ball in flour and flatten to a circle of about 10-13 cm (4-5 inches) diameter.
- Bake in 180º Celsius (350º Fahrenheit) until you get a brownish color. If you bake it in an electric oven make sure you turn the pitas around from time to time so both sides will be equally brownish.
