Shawarma Recipe – don’t try it at home


This is my shawarma recipe page in which I mainly recommend to you to eat this dish out at a place where they specialize in making shawarma and therefore carry the right equipment.

Shawarma is probably one of the best “on the go” food, at least in my opinion. It is best made from fresh beef/ lamb/ chicken or turkey on a special shawarma rolling skewer that allows for perfect roasting. The picture on the left will give you an idea. Since you and I don’t keep such equipment in the kitchen at home – it will be hard to get the same great tasting results.

Having said all that if you do wish to venture and try an alternative way of cooking the shawarma you can certainly do so! But don’t be disappointed when you discover that the result is not as good as the shawarma you ate in that great restaurant…
